Accounting & Reporting Team Lead

About the role

ABB is looking for an experienced Accounting and Reporting Team Lead to join its Finance Operational Service in Bangalore. You will report to the Accounting & Reporting Manager and support business units with accounting queries, financial statement preparation, and reporting compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general accounting activities and record financial transactions.
• Investigate and reconcile account discrepancies.
• Conduct accounting analysis and generate reports to aid finance and business decision‑making.
• Execute month‑end book closing tasks.
• Ensure timely group reporting and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Lead quality‑improvement initiatives within the Record‑to‑Report (R2R) process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in general accounting, reporting, reconciliation and journal‑entry processing.
• Proven experience managing a team.
• Hands‑on experience with Record‑to‑Report (R2R) cycles.
• Flexibility to work any shift timing.
• Strong communication abilities and working knowledge of MS Office.
