Accounting Intern – Finance & Bookkeeping

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Accounting Intern to join Swastik Steel Works in Kolkata. The internship offers a hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced steel and consulting environment, allowing you to develop core finance and bookkeeping skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports using Zoho Books and Tally.
• Reconcile bank statements and verify the accuracy of financial transactions.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in MS‑Excel.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting workflows.
• Help the finance team with ad‑hoc tasks and projects.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic student or recent graduate with a strong interest in finance, accounting, or consulting.
• Eager to learn and contribute in a steel‑industry setting.
• Good analytical mindset and attention to detail.
