Accountant – Manufacturing Analytics COE

About the role

Caterpillar is looking for a skilled Accountant to join its Manufacturing Tower – Analytics Center of Excellence within the Global Finance Services Division. The role will be based at the Whitefield office in Bangalore and will involve independent handling of a variety of accounting tasks supporting business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform staff‑level accounting functions, compiling data and conducting detailed analysis of business‑unit results.
• Support management decisions on projects and cost‑reduction programs through cost analysis and variance root‑cause investigation.
• Participate in business‑unit book closing and provide required inputs and reports to corporate stakeholders.
• Prepare and report inventory information and other financial data as needed.
• Gain understanding of Caterpillar’s accounting practices, systems, and procedures while assisting project teams.

Required profile

• Basic accounting knowledge with the ability to apply it in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to learn Caterpillar’s specific business and accounting processes.
• Effective communication skills to provide feedback and collaborate with supervisors.
