Accountant / Management Accountant

About the role

The Human Loops, a physical AI operations company, is seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee day‑to‑day accounting, statutory compliance, payroll support, and financial reporting for its operations in India. The role requires strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation, payroll, and statutory filings.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts, record all financial transactions, and prepare journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Process monthly payroll, calculate salary components, deductions, reimbursements, and handle statutory deductions such as PT, PF, ESIC, and TDS.
• Prepare and file GST returns, manage TDS calculations and filings, and ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Labour Laws, and Income Tax regulations.
• Coordinate with external Chartered Accountants and consultants for statutory matters.
• Generate monthly MIS reports, profit & loss statements, balance‑sheet schedules, and monitor expenses and budgets.
• Process vendor payments and maintain vendor records.

Required profile

• Experienced accountant with solid understanding of Indian accounting standards and statutory compliance.
• Certification CMA preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with HR and finance teams.
