Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to handle financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance within a fast‑paced, fashion‑first startup. The ideal candidate has a basic grounding in accounting and experience with Tally and is eager to grow.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Senior Accounts in bookkeeping and ledger maintenance using Tally
• Support GST and TDS filing and basic tax‑related documentation
• Prepare and file invoices, shipment documentation, and export paperwork
• Manage and organize accounting files and documentation (both physical and digital)
• Assist in vendor and customer reconciliation on a monthly basis
• Support HR and admin work including payroll documentation, attendance maintenance, and follow‑ups
• Coordinate with merchandisers for PO and invoice matching
• Help manage daily records for petty cash expenses and office payments
• Coordinate with banks and auditors for day‑to‑day operations

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related roles
• Proficient in Tally and MS Excel
• Familiarity with GST, TDS, and invoice formats
• Good filing and documentation skills
• Export documentation experience is a bonus
• Willingness to work across HR and admin responsibilities
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and eager to learn
