Accountant II

About the role

Worley is seeking an Accountant II to join its finance team in Kolkata. The role supports global project delivery, working across multiple time zones and collaborating with various finance and operational teams. You will be responsible for month‑end close, financial analysis, and continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Complete month‑end activities: journal entry preparation, trial‑balance review, variance analysis, cash & bank reconciliation, fixed‑asset accounting, intercompany reconciliation, and HFM/FCC journal preparation.
• Prepare and approve balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, and drive resolution.
• Identify standardisation and automation opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Perform variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and provide clear commentary on key drivers.
• Support business planning, scenario analysis, and management pack preparation.
• Produce monthly management reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
• Conduct financial analysis and forecasting using Oracle EPM and FCC for consolidation and planning.
• Liaise with AR, AP, accounting, reporting, tax, controllership, and global process owners.
• Participate in system enhancements, UAT, and automation initiatives.
• Maintain accurate accounting records for receipts, disbursements, revenue, accruals, and other transactions.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and support tax filings.
