Zuora Architect – Subscription Billing Lead

About the role

ORBCOMM is seeking a Zuora Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of its subscription billing ecosystem on the Zuora platform. Based in Hyderabad, you will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with Finance, Billing, Product, Sales Operations, and Engineering to deliver scalable and compliant billing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end Zuora architecture, including Billing, Payments, CPQ, Revenue, and system integrations.
• Design flexible subscription billing models to support new products, pricing strategies, and global expansion.
• Define and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance for all Zuora configurations.
• Lead solution design for complex initiatives such as product launches, billing transformations, and M&A integrations.
• Translate business requirements into comprehensive system designs across Zuora, CRM, ERP, and data platforms.
• Oversee product catalog structure, rate‑plan strategy, billing rules, taxation, and invoice design.
• Partner with Finance and Revenue teams to align billing architecture with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Design and review integrations between Zuora and upstream/downstream systems.
• Provide technical leadership to Billing Specialists and Analysts, documenting decisions and roadmaps.
