About the role
The Zonal Head will lead business growth across multiple cities for a fast‑growing fintech platform serving merchants, kirana stores and consumers. You will be responsible for driving both top‑line and bottom‑line performance while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver annual targets for loans, merchant acquisition, swipe transactions and speaker initiatives as defined in the AOP.
- Own strategy and operations across 10+ cities in two states, managing a merchant base of over 200K and annualized TPV exceeding $0.5 bn.
- Identify and implement growth opportunities through market feedback and competitive analysis.
- Prepare product‑level AOPs based on market dynamics and assumptions.
- Facilitate hiring of Area Sales Managers (ASM) and Territory Managers (TM) to ensure full staffing.
- Lead a team of 6‑7 ASMs and 28‑30 TMs, providing guidance and performance oversight.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Data Science and Support teams to ensure smooth business operations.
Required profile
- Proven experience delivering sales and transaction volume targets in a fintech or payments environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large, geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong strategic thinking with a focus on sustainable and profitable growth.
- Excellent analytical skills for competition insights and market assessment.
- Experience handling high‑value TPV and large merchant portfolios.
