Windows Administrator

About the role

The company seeks an experienced VMware and Windows Server Administrator to manage a large virtualized environment of over 300 virtual machines, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.

Key responsibilities

• Manage VMware vSphere components (ESXi, vCenter)
• Provision, configure, and maintain virtual machines
• Monitor performance, resource utilization, and capacity planning
• Configure and manage HA, DRS, and vMotion features
• Perform migrations, snapshots, cloning, and related operations
• Troubleshoot VMware infrastructure issues and apply patches/upgrades
• Administer Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 platforms
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy objects
• Handle OS patching, security updates, and server performance monitoring
• Provide L2/L3 support, incident handling, and escalation management
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and ensure SLA compliance
• Manage backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault), perform restores and DR drills

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field (B.E/B.Tech, M.Tech, MSc)
• Proven experience with VMware vSphere and Windows Server administration
• Hands‑on experience supporting a environment with 300+ virtual machines
• Strong understanding of high‑availability, disaster‑recovery, and backup concepts
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a technical team
• Effective communication skills for incident reporting and documentation
