Wind Turbine Electrical Technician

About the role

FairWind is seeking a Wind Turbine Electrical Technician to perform cable routing, termination, and final electrical finishing on wind farms and related infrastructure worldwide. This hands‑on, mobile position is ideal for professionals who enjoy travel, on‑site supervision, and direct technical responsibility in complex electrical environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cabling works at foundation level after tower installation, including grounding cables.
• Terminate cables in the nacelle and at ground level after transformer station installation.
• Connect CMS systems, external lighting, aviation lights, and other turbine options.
• Install cable trays, protective systems, and secure HV/LV cables throughout the turbine.
• Install UPS units, lighting panels, and grounding controllers.
• Conduct VLF testing, primary and secondary injection tests, HV fault diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Maintain tools and company equipment and report according to procedures.

Required profile

• Electrical school diploma.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Strong manual skills and comfort working with tools.
• Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home.
• Positive, reliable attitude and high willingness to learn.
• Communicative level of English.
• Valid driver’s license and medical fitness for physically demanding on‑site work.
