Welding Trainer

About the role

Pratham Education Foundation is seeking a full‑time Welding Trainer to join its on‑site team in Bettiah, India. You will lead both practical and theoretical welding sessions for youth, helping them acquire industry‑relevant skills and certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and deliver welding curriculum covering structural, fabrication, and pipe welding.
• Demonstrate safe welding techniques and supervise hands‑on practice.
• Assess learner progress, provide feedback, and prepare participants for evaluations or certifications.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and enforce safety standards.
• Coordinate with program staff on outreach, placement support, and workshop logistics.

Required profile

• Strong practical expertise in structural and fabrication welding.
• Experience with pipe welding and industrial welding inspection.
• Prior experience as a trainer, instructor, or workshop supervisor is preferred.
• Relevant technical certification, ITI/diploma, or equivalent qualification in welding.
• Good communication skills and ability to mentor youth from diverse backgrounds.
