Welder Cum Grinder

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Welder Cum Grinder to join our team in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The position is full‑time and on‑site, supporting maritime and offshore projects that involve fabrication, repair and maintenance of metal structures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform welding operations (ARC, MMAW, MIG, TIG) on structural components according to drawings and specifications.
• Operate handheld and bench grinders to finish welds, smooth surfaces and prepare parts for further fabrication or painting.
• Set up, inspect and maintain welding and grinding equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Required profile

• Proven experience in welding and grinding within ship repair, offshore, heavy engineering or industrial fabrication environments.
• Relevant technical training or certification in welding from a recognized institute.
• Physical ability to handle manual labour, lift heavy items and work in confined spaces.
• Strong awareness of workplace safety practices and use of PPE.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively in a team.
