Web Developer – WordPress & Shopify Specialist

About the role

Griffon Webstudios, a U.S.-based digital agency, is looking for a self‑directed Web Developer to take projects from brief to launch. You will work remotely with a small senior team, delivering high‑quality WordPress and Shopify sites for clients across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain WordPress and Shopify websites end‑to‑end, including theme development, customization, and plugin/app configuration.
• Translate Figma designs into pixel‑perfect, responsive builds with meticulous attention to spacing, typography, and motion.
• Own project scope, flag risks early, and meet committed deadlines without daily supervision.
• Optimize site speed, Core Web Vitals, and ensure clean semantic markup as default.
• Collaborate with SEO, content, and design teams; provide clear status updates for distributed teams across US and UK time zones.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience shipping WordPress and Shopify sites (portfolio of live sites required).
• Strong HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP skills; Liquid experience for Shopify theme work.
• Exceptional eye for design detail, able to spot inconsistencies before anyone else.
• Self‑managed, comfortable working remotely with a distributed team.
