Water Supply & Hydraulics Expert

About the role

AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Water Supply / Hydraulics Expert to lead the planning, design, and delivery of major water infrastructure projects. You will apply advanced hydraulic engineering expertise to ensure technical excellence and compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead hydraulic design and analysis of transmission mains, distribution networks, and storage reservoirs.
• Perform hydraulic modeling, system optimization, and performance assessments using tools such as WaterGEMS, EPANET, or InfoWorks.
• Provide technical oversight, quality assurance, and review of engineering calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate project delivery and support feasibility studies and detailed design phases.
• Mentor junior engineers and represent the project in client meetings and stakeholder presentations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in Hydraulics.
• At least 10 years of experience designing large‑scale water supply systems, including transmission pipelines, distribution networks, and storage reservoirs.
• Proven involvement in a minimum of three comparable projects of similar scale and complexity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hydraulic modeling tools such as WaterGEMS, EPANET, and InfoWorks.
• Strong knowledge of international hydraulic codes and standards.
