About the role

Infosys BPM Ltd. is seeking experienced Credit Risk Underwriters to join its Bangalore office. The role involves reviewing merchant credit applications, assessing risk, and making underwriting decisions in line with internal policies, sponsor‑bank guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse merchant credit applications, financial statements and transaction profiles.
• Assess credit and fraud exposure and provide underwriting recommendations.
• Coordinate with merchants, sales teams and internal stakeholders to gather required information.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal and card‑network requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for all decisions.
• Support timely adjudication of applications within defined SLAs.
• Escalate complex or high‑exposure cases to senior underwriters or management.
• Contribute to process improvements to strengthen exposure controls and reduce losses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business or a related field.
• 4‑6 years of experience in credit underwriting, exposure assessment or financial analysis.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making abilities with attention to detail.
• Understanding of financial statements, credit exposure principles and fraud indicators.
• Good communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, SLA‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with exposure assessment tools.
