About the role

As a Vehicle Diagnostic Content Author you will create and maintain diagnostic procedures for a range of vehicle systems, supporting both on‑board and remote diagnostics. You will work closely with engineering teams in India and Germany to ensure high‑quality, reliable content.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and adapt vehicle diagnostic procedures (programming, configuration, adaptation) for on‑board and remote diagnostics.
• Apply standard fault codes, create fault‑code description files and link them within the diagnostic object structure.
• Test and validate diagnostic procedures and control‑unit functions in collaboration with ETAS partners, using simulation tools.
• Develop ECU flashing, coding and commissioning procedures, including retrofitting vehicle functions for after‑sales.
• Create vehicle simulation files, verify service data packages, and assess flash‑ability.
• Analyse test results, trace logs and present findings in clear documentation.
• Maintain status reporting and general documentation of all activities.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of gasoline, diesel, comfort and safety systems, including sensor and actuator workflows.
• Familiarity with removal and refit tools and procedures for vehicle components.
• Ability to diagnose electronic, mechanical and electrical issues using various testing equipment.
• Experience with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) identification and interpretation.
• Proficiency in conducting component‑level vehicle testing.
