US Tax Compliance Staff – Mumbai, India

About the role

Join Plante Moran’s tax practice in Mumbai as a US Tax Compliance Staff member. You will work on a variety of tax engagements, supporting clients across real estate, private equity, partnerships and LLCs while developing your technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in client engagements from planning through execution and completion.
• Prepare federal, state and city tax returns for partnerships (Form 1065), C corporations (Form 1120) and S corporations (Form 1120S).
• Develop client‑focused tax planning and transaction‑structuring concepts.
• Proactively gather information from clients and maintain ongoing communication.
• Contribute to internal learning, development committees and firm leadership initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least 1 year of recent experience in public accounting.
• CA, CPA or EA designation preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of taxes for real‑estate, private‑equity, partnership and LLC structures.

Required skills

• Preparation of US federal, state and city tax returns (Form 1065, 1120, 1120S).
• Tax planning and transaction structuring.
• Public accounting fundamentals.
