UG Technician

About the role

We are looking for a UG Technician to ensure network reliability and meet strict service level agreements. The role involves overseeing field teams, managing network uptime, and coordinating with vendors and authorities to deliver seamless connectivity.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain network uptime of 99.99% and ensure SLA compliance with MTTR ≤ 4 hours.
• Manage the Field Response Team (FRT) to achieve required MTTR for all routes.
• Handle process compliance for new connectivity, acceptance testing, and database updates (ABD, HDD reports, fiber details).
• Coordinate third‑party HDD clearance, ring closure for aerial and underground lines, and liaison with operators and civic authorities.
• Oversee in‑building solutions end‑to‑end and support project, planning, and sales teams.
• Generate daily reports on patrols, cuts, and fault rectifications, ensuring 24 × 7 field team availability.
• Lead field‑related issue resolution and people management activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in telecom network operations and field team management.
• Strong understanding of SLA/MTTR metrics and network performance monitoring.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including vendors, operators, and civic bodies.
• Detail‑oriented with experience in documentation and report generation.
