Turbine Assembly Engineer – Hydro Power

About the role

The Turbine Assembly Engineer will lead the execution of high‑pressure (HP) and intermediate‑pressure (IP) turbine assembly plans in our shop floor. The role focuses on meeting quality, safety and efficiency targets while supporting refurbishment projects and overhauls.

Key responsibilities

• Execute monthly HP and IP assembly shop plans and record LE, OE and TQM parameters.
• Perform hydro‑testing, mandrel operations, clearance setting and module measurements.
• Ensure availability of tooling, fixtures, measurement instruments and machines to avoid waiting time.
• Review shop record sheets completed by workmen and supervisors to guarantee IMS compliance.
• Analyse project delays using PDCA, conduct brainstorming sessions with Manufacturing and QC for process improvement.
• Provide design‑department feedback to reduce cycle time.
• Assemble turbine and generator components according to overhauling site requirements and purchase‑order scope.
• Implement EHS objectives, manage hazardous waste, and improve safety performance (5S, SPI).

Required profile

• Experience in turbine or heavy‑equipment assembly within an industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and safety standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with manufacturing, quality, and design teams.
