Travel & Expense Review Trainee (L1) – Office based in Thane

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Travel & Expense Review Trainee (L1) to join our finance team in Thane. The role focuses on processing employee travel and expense claims, ensuring they meet company policies and supporting documentation requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate employee travel and expense submissions.
• Verify supporting documents for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Assist employees with queries related to expense reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and personal employee data.
• Meet daily operational targets and adhere to processing deadlines.

Required profile

• 0‑1 year experience in travel & expense processing, finance operations, back‑office, or invoice/claims handling (preferred).
• Graduate degree, preferably in Commerce or Finance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow policies, checklists, and guidelines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Comfortable working in a process‑driven environment with set targets.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Quick learner with analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Team player with a proactive attitude; German language knowledge is a plus.
