Travel Counselor – Corporate Business Travel

About the role

Amex GBT is seeking a Travel Counselor to join its remote team and provide exceptional travel services to corporate business clients. The role involves advising, arranging, and managing both individual and group travel worldwide while upholding the company’s high standards of service and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and arrange domestic and international business travel for individuals and groups.
• Conduct analysis and research on travel options, anticipating traveler needs and promoting additional services.
• Book air, road, rail, and accommodation using Global Distribution Systems such as Sabre, Apollo, Galileo and Amadeus.
• Ensure compliance with customer travel policies, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide proactive telephone support and handle special customer requests.
• Collaborate with team members to coach, mentor, and improve service levels.

Required profile

• Passion for delivering excellent client service and anticipating needs.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and integrity in handling personal traveler information.
• Solid understanding of the travel industry, including business travel and airline reservations.
• Ability to resolve customer issues independently and work effectively with suppliers.
• Team‑player attitude with openness to feedback and flexible shift availability, including afternoons and weekends.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) – Sabre, Apollo, Galileo, Amadeus.
