Transport Officer

About the role

The Transport Officer will manage daily school transport operations for VIBGYOR Group of Schools in Surat. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures safe, efficient movement of students by planning routes, coordinating schedules, and maintaining compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and optimise bus routes and pick‑up/drop‑off timetables.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance, service records and compliance with local transport regulations.
• Liaise with drivers, vendors, school staff and families to resolve transport inquiries promptly.
• Maintain accurate transport‑related documentation and incident reports.
• Support emergency response procedures and implement process improvements for safety and efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong background in transportation and logistics management.
• Experience in shipping, procurement or vendor coordination.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation for interacting with parents, students and staff.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in logistics, administration or a related field (preferred).
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to work under time constraints.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic computer applications and transport‑management tools.
