Transport Executive – Fleet & Logistics Management

About the role

We are looking for a Transport Executive to lead the end‑to‑end transport operations for employee commuting and customer‑facing transit at Tata Electronics. The role combines fleet management, vendor coordination and financial control to ensure safe, compliant and cost‑effective mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily transport operations for employee cab/bus fleets and customer transit, ensuring 90%+ occupancy.
• Utilise transport management software and GPS platforms to optimise route planning, roster scheduling and vehicle tracking.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, transport regulations, driver licensing and vehicle fitness standards.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for emergencies, breakdowns and route diversions, keeping route charts and master schedules up to date.
• Manage vendor relationships, evaluate contract performance against KPIs/SLAs and handle renewals.
• Control the full billing lifecycle in SAP, including PO creation, service entry sheets and invoice verification.
• Analyse monthly transport spend versus budget, identify variances and implement corrective actions.
• Produce MIS reports on fleet efficiency, cost per kilometre, cost per employee and vehicle utilisation.
• Conduct regular audits of fleet vehicles, driver behaviour and statutory documentation.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of hands‑on experience in corporate/manufacturing transport management, fleet operations or logistics administration.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong understanding of local transport regulations, motor vehicle acts and labour compliance.
• Proven ability to maintain high occupancy rates and work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
