Transactional Attorney – Remote Part‑time Contractor

About the role

This part‑time remote contractor position is focused on applying transactional legal expertise to train, evaluate, and improve AI‑powered legal solutions. The role blends commercial contract work with AI model feedback to enhance how intelligent systems handle legal workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Perform simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises across a variety of commercial agreements.
• Review AI‑generated contract responses, providing detailed legal feedback to improve accuracy and reasoning.
• Create evaluation criteria, scoring frameworks, and quality standards for AI performance in drafting and negotiation tasks.
• Collaborate with product, research, and engineering teams to refine AI training data, legal guidelines, and contract review workflows.
• Identify contractual risks, ambiguities, and negotiation strategies within complex agreements.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise to enhance AI systems for legal research, contract analysis, and transactional workflows.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA‑accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 3 years of in‑house legal experience focused on technology transactions.
• Extensive experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and redlining MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, and other commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of contract risk assessment, negotiation strategies, and commercial legal practices.

Required skills

• Drafting and redlining commercial agreements.
• Knowledge of Master Services Agreements, Non‑Disclosure Agreements, and Data Processing Agreements.
• Contract risk assessment and mitigation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
