Threat Analyst

About the role

This position is part of a global Managed Detection and Response (MDR) team, focused on protecting organisations from sophisticated cyber threats. Based in India with a remote‑first culture, you will work alongside experienced security professionals to investigate incidents across endpoint, network, cloud and identity environments.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and analyse escalated security alerts and incidents across multiple ecosystems.
• Conduct structured investigations to determine root cause, attack scope and business impact.
• Support ransomware investigations, analysing attacker behaviour, persistence and credential abuse.
• Perform malware analysis and de‑obfuscation of suspicious scripts and files.
• Execute proactive threat‑hunting activities based on emerging intelligence.
• Analyse authentication events, privilege‑escalation attempts and identity‑related incidents.
• Correlate data from EDR, SIEM, cloud platforms and identity management systems.
• Document findings, provide remediation recommendations and communicate with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with senior analysts on high‑severity incidents and improve detection playbooks.
• Participate in a 24/7/365 rotational schedule.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience in SOC, MDR, Incident Response or related cybersecurity operations.
• Hands‑on experience investigating endpoint and network incidents using EDR and SIEM tools.
• Strong understanding of ransomware attack methodologies.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, remote‑first environment.
