Therapy Specialist (BSV) - Kolkata

About the role

A leading pharmaceutical company based in India is hiring one full-time Therapy Specialist (BSV) in Kolkata. The role supports the adoption of specialized therapies and medical devices by working with physicians, surgeons, nurses and allied health professionals, and involves market development, clinical education and patient support.

Key responsibilities

• Train physicians, surgeons, nurses and allied healthcare professionals on the proper administration, application or implantation of specialized therapies and medical devices.
• Identify and develop the patient pathway within hospitals or clinics so eligible patients are correctly identified and moved onto the therapy.
• Provide hands-on, real-time technical and clinical support during procedures, surgical cases or complex therapy setups, such as programming devices and monitoring first dosings.
• Partner with key opinion leaders and medical societies to raise awareness of clinical data, treatment guidelines and the economic value of the therapy.
• Design and support patient support and compliance programs that help patients understand their treatment, manage side effects and follow their regimen.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Market Access and Sales teams to gather real-world clinical feedback and align marketing with clinical reality.
• Ensure adherence to pharmacovigilance, medical device reporting and compliance guidelines on product safety and patient interactions.

Required profile

• Experience between 3 and 10 years.
• Background in pharma sales, hospital sales or business development.
• Interest in therapeutic areas such as urology, hematology, critical care, renal care and oncology.
