Testing & Validation Engineer – Electrical Connectors

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Testing and Validation Engineer to lead validation activities for electrical connectors and interconnect systems. You will work on mechanical, electrical, and environmental testing across the product development lifecycle at our Bangalore site.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute validation test plans covering mechanical integrity, electrical performance and environmental robustness.
• Apply industry standards such as USCAR, IEC, ISO and JOEM to assess product compliance.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on test failures and coordinate corrective actions with cross‑functional teams.
• Prepare detailed validation reports with data analysis, observations and compliance conclusions.
• Interface with internal and external test laboratories and manage test equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in connector testing or automotive validation.
• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of connector types, materials and failure modes.
• Proficiency in English and ability to produce technical documentation.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAE tools for fixture design.

Required skills

• Testing standards: USCAR, IEC, ISO, JOEM.
• Test equipment: multimeter, hipot tester, thermal chamber, vibration rig, microscope.
• Project management tools: MS Project, MS Office.
• CAD/CAE software for test setup planning.
