Design Engineer - Series Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Design Engineer – Series Platform Engineer to lead the design and development of automotive connectors for Bosch’s global platform. The role involves creating parametric models, manufacturing drawings and ensuring compliance with customer and OEM specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of series automotive connectors, from concept to production.
• Create and review parametric CAD models, development, manufacturing and offer drawings using UG NX and Teamcenter.
• Perform requirement analysis, focus matrix and concept reviews.
• Conduct tolerance stack‑up, functional proof, design calculations and benchmark comparisons.
• Implement engineering change requests (ECR) and update technical documentation.
• Validate connector designs against test specifications and OEM requirements.
• Prepare material master data and BOM in SAP.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–6 years of experience in connector or automotive design.
• Strong knowledge of thermoplastics, elastomers, metals, plating, and related manufacturing processes (molding, stamping, plating, assembly).
• Proficiency in GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and solve complex technical problems.
