Testing Engineer – Engine

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking a Testing Engineer for engine testing to join its Bengaluru engineering team. The role involves conducting dynamometer tests, developing test automation, and analysing results to support engine development.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hands‑on dynamometer testing on engines and electric motors.
• Develop and maintain test automation scripts and data‑analysis procedures.
• Configure and operate testing measuring devices and instrumentation.
• Design and optimise test system layouts, processes and methodologies.
• Analyse test data, generate reports and support failure investigations.

Required profile

• Diploma/Engineering degree with 3‑5 years of experience in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Automobile Engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving, troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with dynamometer testing.
• Knowledge of engine and electric‑motor instrumentation.
• Test automation and data analysis expertise.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings and preparation of documentation.
• Design and fabrication of jigs and fixtures.
• Operation of conventional machines such as lathe, CNC and drilling equipment.
• Geometric measurement techniques.
