Test Engineer – VM Brakes (Indian IOEM)

About the role

Bosch is looking for a Test Engineer to join the VM Brakes team in Coimbatore. You will be responsible for validating brake application software across functional, integration, regression and system levels, ensuring high quality and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test cases for brake application software systems.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing on brake platforms.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and document issues using tools such as Jira and ALM.
• Collaborate with development, hardware, and QA teams to resolve issues and improve software quality.
• Develop automated test scripts and frameworks in HIL and SIL environments, using the Cx framework.
• Review software requirements and specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Prepare test reports and provide feedback on software quality and reliability.
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Approximately 10 years of experience in software testing, preferably in automotive or embedded systems.

Required skills

• Experience with the Cx test framework.
• Proficiency in Python and C for test scripting.
• Familiarity with test automation tools and environments (HIL, SIL).
• Knowledge of embedded platforms, microcontrollers, and communication protocols such as CAN, UART, and SPI.
• Use of defect tracking tools like Jira and ALM.
