Telephone Operator

About the role

The Hospital is seeking a Telephone Operator to manage inbound and outbound calls on a yearly fixed‑term renewable contract. You will be the first point of contact for patients, doctors, and visitors, providing accurate information and directing calls to the appropriate departments.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming telephone calls from both external callers and internal staff.
• Provide information on hospital location, department locations, and consultant clinic schedules.
• Understand caller queries and either supply the needed details or transfer the call to the relevant section.
• Make outgoing calls on behalf of patients, doctors, and staff when required.
• Maintain a courteous and professional telephone etiquette at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum graduate qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience handling telephone communications.
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced hospital environment.
