Techno‑Commercial Officer

About the role

The Techno‑Commercial Officer is responsible for driving procurement strategy, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies. This role supports the execution of strategic sourcing initiatives and oversees the full procurement lifecycle from requisition to contract closure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement site‑specific procurement and techno‑commercial strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Review purchase requisitions, determine appropriate procurement methods, and prepare RFI/RFP documents.
• Manage sourcing activities for CAPEX, OPEX, bulk materials and services, including vendor selection, bid evaluation, and negotiations.
• Draft, issue and maintain contracts in SAP/ERP systems, coordinate vendor documentation, and issue purchase orders.
• Monitor material deliveries, resolve supply issues, process amendments, and manage logistics for procurement activities.
• Identify, onboard and evaluate new suppliers, maintain approved vendor databases, and develop strategic supplier relationships.
• Assess supplier performance, create scorecards, and drive improvement initiatives.
• Analyze procurement data, support spend and commodity analysis, and generate management reports.
• Identify procurement risks, assess impact, and develop mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, contract management and supplier performance management.
• Strong understanding of procurement policies, SOPs and compliance requirements.
• Ability to analyze data, identify cost‑saving opportunities and present actionable insights.
• Excellent negotiation skills and capability to manage vendor relationships.
