Techno Legal Assistant – Intellectual Property Associate

About the role

The Techno Legal Assistant will support the Intellectual Property team by conducting thorough patent searches, assessing IP risks, and ensuring legal compliance across products and platforms. This role blends technical expertise with legal analysis to protect the company’s innovations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform prior‑art searches using both paid and free patent databases.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to evaluate IP risk and opportunity.
• Conduct Freedom‑to‑Operate analyses for products and platforms.
• Prepare First Examination Report responses and draft Information Disclosure Forms.
• Review and draft agreements, contracts, privacy documents, and export‑control compliance paperwork.
• Guide legal compliance for Generative AI use cases.

Required profile

• Graduation in a technical discipline (B.Tech or B.Sc.) combined with an LLB.
• 2‑5 years of hands‑on experience with multiple patent search databases.
• Proven ability to design search strategies and assess IP risk.
• Familiarity with open‑source tools used in IP research.
