Technician - Electrician (Food Processing Plant)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Technician – Electrician to join our food‑processing facility. The role focuses on reducing equipment downtime through preventive maintenance, continuous improvement, and strict adherence to safety and food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and follow the priority matrix for electrical maintenance tasks.
• Perform shift‑based electrical maintenance and execute preventive maintenance checklists.
• Identify and report abnormalities related to EHS, GMP, or equipment failures, and coordinate resolution with team leaders.
• Communicate spare‑part and consumable needs to engineering.
• Support production teams to achieve plant KPI targets.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment downtime and spare‑part usage.
• Follow Good Engineering Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, line‑clearance protocols, and maintain workplace hygiene.

Required profile

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 2‑3 years of experience in the processed food industry.
• Mandatory "C" or "B" electrical license.
• Preferred knowledge of electronics and HMI (not mandatory).
• Fluency in English and Tamil, strong communication, integrity, and teamwork.

Required skills

• Control‑panel fault diagnosis.
• Handling of power tools and measuring instruments (Megger, multimeter).
• Knowledge of HT and LT lines, transformers, ACBs, and control panels.
• Maintenance of food‑processing and packaging equipment.
• Basic electronics and HMI familiarity (preferred).
