Technical Project/Program Manager (Level II)

About the role

Applied Materials is the global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that underpin virtually every new semiconductor chip and advanced display. The role supports project planning, coordination, and execution to drive on‑time, on‑budget delivery of supply‑chain and manufacturing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project plans, schedules, tracking charts, checklists and status reports.
• Coordinate matrix of process‑improvement activities and align internal resources to meet timeline and budget objectives.
• Track project costs and schedules for internal and external customers, interfacing with suppliers as needed.
• Report progress against quality, cost, and delivery metrics to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Demonstrated conceptual knowledge in supply‑chain and project management disciplines.
• Understanding of key business drivers and ability to translate project execution into measurable outcomes.
• Strong analytical, data‑interpretation and structured problem‑solving skills, including root‑cause analysis.
• Proven stakeholder‑management and cross‑functional collaboration across engineering, sourcing, manufacturing and suppliers.
• Experience with risk identification, dependency management and mitigation planning in multi‑project environments.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for analysis and modeling.
• Project‑management tools such as MS Project and Smartsheet.
• ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Lean, Six Sigma or Value‑Stream Mapping methodologies.
• Data analysis, dashboard and tracker creation.
