Technical Lead - Java

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Java Developer to design, build, and scale high‑throughput, cloud‑native backend applications. In this role you will lead engineering efforts focused on microservices architectures on Google Cloud Platform, drive architectural decisions, and ensure operational excellence while mentoring the team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, secure, and resilient microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Architect and manage cloud‑native systems on Google Cloud Platform, optimizing resource usage, deployment pipelines, and service communications.
• Lead technical discussions, conduct rigorous code reviews, establish engineering best practices, and mentor junior to mid‑level engineers.
• Apply advanced data structures and algorithms to optimize performance, lower execution latencies, and minimize memory footprints across critical pipelines.
• Lead or partner on complex data migration projects, transitioning legacy datastores into modern cloud databases with zero data loss and minimal downtime.

Required profile

• 12+ years of core software engineering experience with expert‑level proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience designing, building, and operating RESTful APIs, event‑driven architectures, and distributed systems.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and managing backend services on Google Cloud Platform (e.g., GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Bigtable, Spanner).
• Strong problem‑solving ability with deep expertise in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
