Technical Development – Rigid Polyurethanes (India)

About the role

Join BASF's Technical Development team to drive innovation in rigid polyurethane systems for the appliance and construction markets in India. You will act as a bridge between customers, sales, and internal R&D to deliver tailored technical solutions and new product concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical service and business development support to customers and sales teams across India.
• Identify market opportunities and develop new applications for the polyurethane portfolio.
• Initiate and fine‑tune product formulations to meet regional customer requirements.
• Coordinate with the laboratory for formulation development, quality issue resolution, and non‑conformance management.
• Lead joint development projects, ensuring timely delivery and accountability.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the value chain to create business growth.
• Manage resources in close alignment with technical service and sales teams to achieve defined targets.

Required profile

• Strong background in polyurethane chemistry or related polymer science.
• Experience in technical service, product development, and project management.
• Ability to handle customer complaints, coordinate with labs, and resolve non‑conformities.
• Excellent communication skills to act as liaison between country technical service and regional development teams.
