Technical Consultant – Threat Detection, Response & Intelligence

About the role

IBM Consulting is seeking a Technical Consultant specialized in Threat Detection, Response & Intelligence. In this role you will protect client digital environments by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cyber threats using advanced security tools and industry‑proven frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate security incidents using SIEM, SOAR, EDR and XDR platforms.
• Apply MITRE ATT&CK and the Cyber Kill Chain to understand adversary tactics.
• Prioritize and manage incident reports, delivering actionable recommendations.
• Analyze logs from Windows, macOS and Linux systems to detect potential threats.
• Participate in vulnerability management and cyber threat intelligence activities.
• Provide clients with clear recommendations to strengthen their security posture.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR and XDR.
• Familiarity with industry frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and the Cyber Kill Chain.
• Ability to interpret logs from Windows, macOS and Linux environments.
