Technical Consultant – Threat Detection, Response & Intelligence

About the role

IBM Consulting is seeking a Technical Consultant specialized in Threat Detection, Response & Intelligence. In this role you will help clients protect their digital assets by detecting, analyzing and mitigating cyber threats across hybrid cloud and AI environments.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate security incidents using SIEM, SOAR, EDR and XDR platforms.
• Apply MITRE ATT&CK and the Cyber Kill Chain frameworks to map adversary tactics.
• Prioritize and manage incident reports, delivering actionable recommendations.
• Analyze logs from Windows, macOS and Linux endpoints to uncover threats.
• Participate in vulnerability management and cyber‑threat‑intelligence activities.
• Provide clients with guidance to strengthen their security posture.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (preferred).
• Experience with cybersecurity monitoring and response tools.
• Familiarity with industry threat‑modeling frameworks.
• Ability to interpret security data from multiple operating systems.
