Technical Assistant, Warehouse

About the role

The Technical Assistant in the Warehouse ensures smooth hand‑over between shifts, monitors daily operations, and supports dispensing, sampling, and receipt of raw and packaging materials. The role acts as a bridge between the Head of Department, relievers, and line staff to maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Report to the HOD and reliever before each shift, discuss targets, issues from previous shifts, and upcoming schedules.
• Conduct a comprehensive round of the warehouse, engaging with all personnel to identify and resolve abnormalities before shift start.
• Verify shift plans on the planning board, ensure on‑time attendance, and manage hand‑over of pending work.
• Coordinate with offline teams to arrange raw material (RM), packaging material (PM), and finished goods (FG) for upcoming shifts.
• Monitor quality systems, machine settings, documentation (BPR, BMR, log books), and in‑process checks during the shift.
• Ensure all personnel are aware of shift targets, safety precautions, and training requirements.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Good communication skills to interact with supervisors, operators, and support teams.
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions on abnormalities.

Required skills

• Experience with JDE ERP system.
• Knowledge of CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) processes.
• Familiarity with BPR and BMR documentation.
• Understanding of quality systems and in‑process testing.
