Tech Support Engineer – SCADA/Historian (Hyderabad/Bangalore)

About the role

Provide application and technical support to customers using AVEVA’s SCADA and Historian products, including System Platform, InTouch and PI. The Engineer resolves product and configuration issues, delivering troubleshooting via phone, web and email.

Key responsibilities

• Document activities and findings in the case tracking tool.
• Perform technical troubleshooting, analysis and diagnosis of product and custom application issues.
• Maintain case updates and meet resolution timeframes defined by service level agreements.
• Deliver work‑arounds or fixes and replicate customer issues.
• Create technical documentation such as Tech Notes, Knowledge Articles, Alerts and FAQs.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Collaboration mindset and ability to work in a team.
• 2+ years hands‑on experience with SCADA/HMI/Historian products and PLCs.
• Experience supporting relational databases and Microsoft operating systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

Required skills

• SCADA/HMI/Historian platforms (System Platform, InTouch, PI, Historian).
• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) knowledge.
• Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Microsoft SQL Server and SQL dialects (SQL, PL/SQL, T‑SQL).
• Understanding of HMI/SCADA solution architectures.
