Tech Lead Manager, Developer Productivity

About the role

Cerebras Systems is seeking a Tech Lead Manager to head its AI‑Native Developer Productivity & Infrastructure team in Bengaluru. This role will shape how engineers build, test, debug and ship software in an AI‑first development environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow a Bengaluru‑based engineering team focused on AI‑native developer productivity and infrastructure.
• Mentor engineers, review designs, guide architecture and uphold high standards for reliability and operational excellence.
• Own delivery of initiatives that improve developer experience, such as faster builds, reduced queue latency and better flaky‑test management.
• Build systems that accelerate turnaround time, including intelligent CI, merge queues and self‑service environments.
• Evaluate, adopt and integrate development tools and workflows that boost productivity and code quality.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure tools are effectively embedded in daily processes and deliver measurable impact.
• Lead war rooms and incident management for critical developer infrastructure issues, driving rapid resolution and root‑cause analysis.
• Stay hands‑on to debug critical issues and make strong architectural trade‑offs.

Required profile

• Deep focus on developer productivity and reducing friction across the software development lifecycle.
• Proven track record of building tools and infrastructure that materially improve engineering velocity and reliability.
• Empathy for the pain points that cause toil, frustration or burnout for engineering teams.
• Extensive experience with build systems, CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling in large monorepo environments.
• Strong programming ability in Python or similar systems‑oriented languages.
• Engineering leadership experience as a manager, tech lead or tech‑lead‑manager, including hiring and growing teams.
• Clear communication and influence across globally distributed engineering groups.
• High ownership, strong execution and sound judgment in ambiguous environments.
