Team Member - Branch Audit

About the role

The Branch Audit Team Member will support the execution of the audit strategy and plan across all key functional areas of the branch, including sales, credit, operations, collections, risk management, compliance, finance, HR, customer service and marketing. This role ensures independent assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management, internal controls and compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and support audit strategies and plans that identify and assess a wide range of risks, such as compliance, legal, fraud, operational, third‑party, liquidity, financial, people and reputational risks.
• Execute branch audits in line with internal audit standards, policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and best practices.
• Conduct thematic and specialised audit reviews covering areas such as legal and compliance risk, fraud risk, operational risk, vendor payments, general ledger controls, regulatory reporting, customer service and procurement.
• Review application controls within branch systems and management information systems to assess their effectiveness.
• Oversee the appointment and scope of work for external audit firms when required.
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve policies, processes and practices based on industry standards and emerging risks.

Required profile

• Experience in conducting internal or branch audits and risk assessments.
• Strong understanding of audit standards, regulatory frameworks and internal control environments.
• Ability to analyse data and use technology to support audit objectives.
• Proven capability to produce clear, objective audit reports and recommendations.
