Team Lead – Software Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Team Lead to build and guide a high‑performing group of software engineers developing a strategic cloud‑based platform for X‑Rite color measurement devices. This player‑coach position blends active coding with technical leadership and people management across a global engineering organization.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, mentor and retain a diverse team of engineers, fostering a strong culture of collaboration and growth.
• Contribute directly to design, implementation, code reviews and problem solving for both web and desktop applications.
• Define and evolve cloud‑native architecture on AWS, ensuring scalability, security and maintainability.
• Guide architectural decisions for the TypeScript/React front‑end, Node.js/TypeScript back‑end, and Qt/C++ desktop client.
• Drive Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban), supporting planning, execution and delivery.
• Collaborate with product, UX, QA, data engineering and support teams to deliver customer value.
• Establish and improve engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines, observability, testing and AI‑enhanced development workflows.
• Coordinate with global stakeholders in the US, Europe and India to align technical direction with product strategy.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams.
• Proven track record delivering modern web applications and cloud‑native solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across distributed, multicultural teams.
