Team Lead / Manager Valuation

About the role

CCaventus Asset Management is hiring a Team Lead / Manager Valuation in Bengaluru. The role covers complex financial instrument valuation engagements for financial reporting and transactions, and reviews third-party business valuations for financial reporting and strategic planning purposes.

Key responsibilities

• Value equity, debt, derivatives, structured financial products, contingent considerations and hybrid securities
• Review third-party valuations of closely-held, publicly-traded and private equity companies under ASC 946, ASC 820, ASC 815, ASC 718 / IRC 409A, swaps, etc.
• Perform market, industry and economic research and analysis
• Review and summarise financial, corporate and legal agreements and other documents
• Write narrative valuation reports and memorandums
• Learn valuation issues across industries such as operating businesses, renewable energy and fractional real estate interests
• Maintain active communication with supervisors and start building client relationships

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Applied Mathematics, another quantitative finance major or Economics; Master's degree is a plus
• 3-5 years of valuation experience at a Big 4 or top 20 public accounting and advisory firm
• Demonstrated experience performing and reviewing valuations of debt, common stock and derivatives
• Ability to handle multiple engagements with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written, interpersonal and presentation skills

Required skills

• Valuation methods: DCF, binomial and option pricing models, guideline company method, comparable M&A transactions
• Experience with debt and derivative valuations and tools such as Monte Carlo simulation, binomial models, Thomson Reuters or Bloomberg
• Experience with Capital IQ
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
• Knowledge of accounting standards for financial instruments and valuations is a plus
• CFA qualification in progress or Python coding is a plus
