Team Lead – Embedded Systems

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Team Lead to head our Embedded Systems team. The role involves guiding engineers, delivering high‑quality embedded software, and collaborating across hardware, product, testing and systems engineering functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage a team of embedded engineers to deliver robust software and systems.
• Drive end‑to‑end project execution from requirements through design, development, testing, validation and deployment.
• Ensure team deliverables align with organisational goals, timelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (hardware, product, testing, systems engineering).
• Act as a technical leader, reviewing designs and code and providing hands‑on support when needed.
• Foster continuous learning, innovation and process improvement within the team.
• Manage resource allocation, project planning and risk mitigation.
• Interface with stakeholders, provide regular updates and ensure customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of professional experience in embedded systems development and delivery.
• Proven track record of leading multiple engineers or teams on successful projects.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.

Required skills

• Embedded C/C++ development.
• Real‑time operating systems (RTOS) and device driver development.
• Microcontrollers and microprocessors.
• Communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, SPI, I2C, UART and Ethernet.
• Hardware‑software integration and debugging tools (oscilloscopes, debuggers).
• Version control systems (Git, SVN).
• Agile/Scrum methodology (preferred).
• Exposure to IoT platforms, cloud connectivity and edge computing (preferred).
