About the role
Team Lead – CFD at Applus IDIADA in Pune, responsible for leading CFD simulations for aerodynamics, under‑hood thermal management and HVAC across vehicle projects.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and run CFD cases for aerodynamics, under‑hood thermal management and HVAC, including model building and mesh generation.
- Perform post‑processing, generate reports and propose optimisation or counter‑measure solutions.
- Coordinate with clients to discuss results and lead junior engineers in project execution.
- Plan and execute projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
Required profile
- 5–8 years of CFD experience in automotive (ESPs/tier‑1) environments.
- B.Tech in Mechanical or Automotive engineering.
- Ability to work in shift A/B schedule.
Required skills
- ANSA for preprocessing.
- ANSYS Fluent for solving and post‑processing.
- HM/Star CCM, OpenFOAM or other CFD tools.
- Strong fundamentals in flow and heat‑transfer simulation.
