Tax Consultant – Mobility Core (Chennai)

About the role

EY is seeking a Tax Consultant to join its Mobility Core team in Chennai. You will support client engagements by delivering tax compliance and advisory services, focusing on employee mobility, expatriate taxation, and related regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file individual tax returns, e‑TDS returns, and draft submissions to tax authorities.
• Represent clients before tax authorities and advise on inbound/outbound structuring for employee movements.
• Apply knowledge of immigration and provident fund regulations for expatriates.
• Collaborate with tax professionals to deliver comprehensive tax solutions and ensure work is executed according to firm methodologies.
• Utilise electronic working papers and relevant software to conduct research and produce accurate tax deliverables.
• Maintain confidentiality, uphold professional standards, and contribute to team performance and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Certified CA with 0‑1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
• Enthusiastic self‑starter and effective team player.
• Good time‑management and attention to detail.
