Tax Consultant

About the role

The Tax Consultant will manage day‑to‑day direct tax compliance, reporting and support for corporate tax matters across Indian entities. Working closely with finance, accounts and external advisors, the role ensures timely adherence to Indian tax regulations and transfer pricing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate income tax returns for domestic and overseas entities.
• Handle tax provisions, DTA/DTL, advance tax, and disclose contingent liabilities in financial statements.
• Manage assessment proceedings, including normal and transfer pricing assessments.
• Oversee litigation cases and ensure timely actions on legal notices.
• Plan tax strategies to utilise carry‑forward losses, FTC credits and timing differences.
• Ensure compliance on foreign payments, including preparation of Forms 15CB and 15CA.
• Support tax technology and process‑automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors, legal counsel and regional tax teams to resolve complex direct tax issues.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in corporate tax or a CA firm serving corporate clients.
• Strong knowledge of Indian direct tax laws, transfer pricing and TDS provisions.
• Experience handling assessment proceedings and tax litigation.
• Ability to work closely with finance, accounts and external consultants.
