Tax Consultant – Indirect Tax (TMT) – Mumbai

About the role

EY is seeking a Tax Consultant to join its Indirect Tax team in Mumbai. You will support client engagements by delivering high‑quality tax compliance and advisory services, focusing on the TMT (Technology, Media, Telecom) sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file individual tax returns and e‑TDS returns for clients.
• Draft submissions and represent clients before tax authorities.
• Advise on outbound/inbound structuring related to employee mobility, including immigration and provident‑fund considerations for expatriates.
• Collaborate with senior tax professionals to deliver comprehensive tax solutions and ensure work is completed according to firm methodologies.
• Utilise electronic working papers and relevant software tools to conduct research and produce accurate tax deliverables.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information and uphold professional standards.

Required profile

• Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 0‑1 year of relevant tax experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage time effectively.
• Enthusiastic, self‑starter attitude with a collaborative team mindset.
